Are these templates "compliant"?
No template is compliant on its own. What counts is how the document is used on your site. These templates are written against the model WHS laws and codes of practice and cover what a SWMS, SOP, policy or plan is expected to include. Whether your business complies depends on you filling them in properly, checking them against your work, consulting your workers and actually following them.
Which states do they work in?
The templates are written against the model WHS Act and Regulations, which apply in every state and territory except Victoria. They name the Queensland Act and codes of practice. In other model-law states, swap the state name in the legislation list.
Victoria runs its own law: the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and the OHS Regulations 2017. The templates still work as a starting point, but replace the legislation references and check the Victorian requirements.
What do I need to open them?
Microsoft Word is recommended. Google Docs and other programs will open the files, but the click-to-tick boxes may not work and some layout may shift.
Can I put my own logo and company name on them?
Yes. That's the idea. Once you've filled them in, they're your business's documents.
Can I use one template on more than one site?
Yes. One purchase covers your whole business: every site, every crew, every copy. You can also give completed documents to your principal contractor, client, auditor or the regulator as part of your work. See the licence terms.
I'm a consultant. Can I use them for my clients?
You need one licence for each client business you prepare documents for. You can't resell the templates or share them with other businesses.
Can you write a document for my site?
Donga Docs only sells templates. We don't write custom documents or offer support, which is how the prices stay low.

What if I'm not happy with it?
If a file doesn't work or isn't what the page described, you'll get a replacement or a refund. We don't give refunds for a change of mind. See the refund policy.
Do I get updates?
No. You get the version that's on sale on the day you buy it, and there are no free updates after that. Laws and codes change, so check the legislation and codes listed in your documents at each review.
Will I get a tax invoice?
Yes. Prices include GST, and every order comes with a tax invoice showing our ABN.
